Course Overview
During this four day course participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills in creating the joints commonly used in box making, cabinetry and furniture making. All of this work will be done using hand tools. The course is suitable for novice woodworkers but instruction will be individually focused so that participants with all levels of experience will benefit from attending.
Everyone is welcome to join this class, no experience is necessary.
Please wear covered shoes and bring a notepad and pencil.
Younger Members
This course is suitable for younger members of the association who are aged 16 or 17 years old at the time of the course.
Materials Provided
All required tools and materials will be provided for your use during the course. If you prefer to use your own carving tools please label them with your name. If you have them please also bring hand protection gloves.
What To Bring
Tea and coffee are available in the workshop. There is a small fridge in which your lunch and drinks can be stored.
Safety
Please wear sturdy footwear. Closed shoes with leather uppers are requiredin the workshop. If you have them, please bring your ear muffs, mask and goggles for hearing, lung and eye protection.
