Course Overview
This course is held over two consecutive weekdays Mon 21 & Tue 22 August 2023.
The course is suitable for those new to woodworking, and will introduce you to the basics of box making. From here you will be able to move on to more advanced techniques and designs if you choose.
You will gain a solid understanding of the basic principles of box making and produce a box that is both useful and aesthetically pleasing. The course covers the making of a simple box with mitred corners and the choice of a lift-off or sliding lid. Cutting and dressing of materials will be demonstrated but the box making timbers available for your course will be pre_machined to a finished thickness of 10mm for the box sides and 5mm thick for the base and top.

Timber, tools and consumables to create your box.
What To Bring
An apron to cover clothing, dust mask, lunch.
Safety
Please wear sturdy footwear, shoes with leather uppers preferred.
