Course Overview
Description
Spoons can be finely crafted objects of art as well as practical utensils.
Explore the gentle, meditative art of wood carving by learning to carve a beautiful spoon with a sculptural spiral handle, These spoons appear to defy the laws of carving, yet if carved correctly make a beautiful and useful piece of tableware. The timber is very much part of the story, the form can be influenced by the grain, so timber choice is important, we will be usingTasmanian Huon Pine for this project.
