February Meeting in 2005
Leon Sadubin - Guest Speaker
Leon Sadubin, one of the founders of WWA, will be our February guest speaker.
Leon's topic is the 'Joan Abela Commission'. Leon has now completed this private commission involving the design and production of some 20 pieces of free-standing furniture over a period of four years. He will tell us about this commission and will illustrate his talk with slides that have been professionally photographed.
Box Competition
At our February Meeting the Box Competition will be judged. All of the wood packs which were prepared by Phil Lake have been taken by members so we are expecting a very good response.
Briefly, the rules are that you must come up with your own design and produce a box from only the wood provided, except for the addition of things like glue, finishes and hardware.
It is an exciting challenge and members are encouraged to make the effort.
Cost: $4 (visitors welcome - 1st visit free!) Light refreshments
