Alan Perry, retired Head of Cabinetmaking, TAFE NSW, will do a hands-on workshop on scraping, sanding, and preparation for finishing.  He will take groups through the following points:
* Preparing a cabinet scraper and using it on difficult timbers & veneers.
* Hand sanding of flat surfaces and mouldings.
* Selection of abrasives.
* What to look for in preparing a piece for finishing.
